Fr Eliah Laimon during mass

Thanksgiving Masses by Newly Ordained Priest at St. Kizito Parish

St. Kizito Parish was blessed today with a special celebration as Rev. Fr. Eliah Amos Lamion, DP, who was ordained to the priesthood on Saturday 12th July, returned to offer two Eucharistic Thanksgiving Masses.

The celebration was not only a moment of joy but also of gratitude. Fr. Eliah thanked parishioners for the support they gave him during his pastoral experience at St. Kizito in 2023. He expressed appreciation to all who walked with him throughout his formation and humbly requested continued prayers for his priestly journey.

He extended heartfelt thanks to Fr. John Mangwere, SAC, who has been a source of counsel and guidance over the years, and prayed for the soul of the late Fr. Martin Kavisu, SPS, under whom he once served at St. Kizito.

Currently serving at St. Augustine Kamangirira Parish in Mchinji, Fr. Eliah also took time during the Mass to pray for Fr. John Mangwere, who is marking 12 years of priesthood. Fr. John has been assisting at St. Kizito during the absence of the parish priest, Fr. Martin, who has been on holiday. Today was Fr. John’s last Sunday Mass before Fr. Martin’s return.

We continue to pray for both Fr. Eliah and Fr. John in their service to God’s people.
