Small Christian Community (SCC) Child Safeguarding Representatives and St Kizito parish staff today underwent training at a Child Safeguarding Workshop.
The workshop was conducted by Fr Paul Asu, SPS, of St Augustine Mtengowanthenga Parish. He was assisted by Miss Mbuka. As part of the training, the participants were taken through different safeguarding scenarios in which groups had to come up with solutions.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the participants signed consent forms and were presented with certificates.
This workshop follows an orientation session on the Child and Vulnerable Adults Safeguarding Policy, which was given to the parish leadership. That session was conducted by Fr John Chibweza and Sr Teresa Mulenga from the Archdiocese of Lilongwe in May.
