This morning, the St. Kizito Parish community gathered in prayer during a Requiem Mass to honour and remember the late Sr. Chinyere Priscilla Anyaorah, MMM. The Mass was attended by parishioners alongside members of the Nigerian Community in Lilongwe, who joined together to celebrate her life and pray for her eternal rest.
Earlier in the week, Medical Missionaries of Mary Associate Mrs Sophie Kalinde, in a tribute, shared fond memories of Sr. Chinyere, describing her life as a testament to devotion, compassion, and selfless service:
Founder & Leader: She established the MMM Associate membership in Malawi, guiding the initial group to make their first to third Covenants.

Mentor & Servant Leader: Known for her approachable and humble nature, she served at all levels of the community regardless of status, acting as a guiding light and source of strength.

Spiritual Guide & Pillars: She offered wise counsel and spiritual direction to many, remembered by those at St. Kizito as a true spiritual director, friend, and “shining star”.

May Sr. Chinyere’s soul rest in eternal peace, and may her legacy of love continue to inspire us all.
