Catholics have been encouraged to continue praying for their deceased loved ones, with faith in the resurrection and hope of eternal life.
The message was delivered by St Kizito Chigoneka Parish Priest, Fr Martin Mulholland, during his homily at a candlelight Mass held in remembrance of the departed.

Fr Mulholland said lighting candles, visiting graves and remembering the names of deceased loved ones are ways of expressing faith and hope in Christ’s resurrection.
He added that although losing loved ones brings pain, Christians should find comfort in the belief that God hears their prayers and that Christ’s resurrection gives them hope of eternal life.
