Parishioners from St. Kizito today commemorated All Souls’ Day through the ritual of candle lighting. Individuals and families lit a candle from the Pascal Candle and placed it at the Altar. Just as Christ rose from the dead, parishioners also lit their candles in the full hope that the faithful departed will one day be raised into God’s kingdom.
Throughout November, parishioners are encouraged to place the names of their departed relatives and friends in a box at the Altar. These souls will be prayed for at each Mass.
