The Catholic Church in Malawi last week celebrated the Jubilee of People with Disabilities. St Kizito Parish celebrated the jubilee today. Some parishioners who are living with disabilities attended mass and were blessed by the Parish Priest as well as by their fellow parishioners.
Fr Martin Mulholland welcomed those parishioners, many of whom are unable to regularly attend mass, and assured them that the parish is always with them in spirit. He said that he sees people living positively with disabilities when he visits them in their homes to pray for them and give them the Holy Eucharist.
In the pictures, a few of the parishioners who were able to attend mass are prayed over and blessed by the Parish Priest.
Pope Francis proclaimed 2025 as the Jubilee Year of Hope. The Jubilee commenced on 24 December 2024 and will conclude on 6th January 2026 (Feast of Epiphany).
