Parish SCCs bolster St. Kizito Integrated Health Centre

This morning, Thursday, 19th February 2026, three Small Christian Communities (SCCs) of St. Kizito Parish donated to St Kizito Integrated Health Centre in Mtsiliza. The SCCs are St. Peter, St. Francis, and St. Stephano.

Direct support for critical needs

The donations were collected in three SCCs during the Rosary month in October 2025. In a collaborative effort to ensure the funds had the greatest impact, the SCCs consulted with the Clinic’s Sister-in-Charge, Sister Grace, to identify the facility’s most urgent priorities. The items included essential medicines and a new air conditioning unit.

A tour of excellence

Before the formal handover, representatives from the three SCCs were given a guided tour of the clinic. The visitors praised the facility, noting high standards of care provided to the Mtsiliza community. They were also impressed by the clinic’s cleanliness, which stands as a testament to the dedication of the management and staff.

Expressions of gratitude

Sister Grace expressed her profound gratitude to St Kizito Parish and its SCCs for their unwavering support. She noted that while today celebrated St. Peter, St. Francis, and St. Stephano, the entire parish remains a pillar of the clinic—often through the St. Vincent de Paul Society, which facilitates ongoing donations from other communities.

Speaking on behalf of the three SCCs, Dr Ernest Mungosaukaakudyaalichete Makawa shared his satisfaction with the clinic’s operations. He said that the SCCs are encouraged and pledged their continued support.
