Yesterday evening, the St. Daniel Comboni mphakati celebrated its patron saint’s feast day with Mass and dinner at the local Comboni Missionaries Provincial House.
In his homily, Fr. Emmanuel Got, MCCJ, a Comboni missionary and Parish Priest of St. John Msamba Parish, encouraged members to emulate St. Daniel Comboni, who left his home in Italy to preach the Gospel in Africa. Fr. Got emphasised that St. Comboni’s motto, “Save Africa with Africa,” is a call for all faithful to embrace the missionary challenge and serve others. He urged the mphakati to reach out to those who are lost or in need, regardless of their religious affiliation.
The Mass was concelebrated by Fr. Gracian, MCCJ, and Fr. Martin, Parish Priest of St. Kizito Parish.
