Today, the Catholic Church marked the 5th World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly, celebrated under the theme “Blessed are those who have not lost hope” (Sir 14:2).
At St Kizito Parish, this special day was honoured with a heartfelt celebration recognising the vital role of our elderly parishioners and grandparents. In his homily, Fr. John Mangwere, SAC, emphasised the importance of the elderly in nurturing faith within families and communities. He encouraged the congregation to continue valuing the elderly as treasured bearers of wisdom.
