The Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Tanzania recently hosted an International Easter Youth Conference at St. Mary’s International School in Mbeya. Running from March 30th to April 5th, 2026, the event drew a diverse crowd, including a Malawian delegation of nine individuals representing the Blantyre, Lilongwe, and Mzuzu Dioceses. Notably, two of these representatives came from St. Kizito Parish.

Under the theme “Great Exploits” (derived from Daniel 11:32), the conference offered a blend of spiritual and professional mentorship. Sessions covered a wide range of essential topics, including faith, entrepreneurship, relationships, courtship, personal finance, and leadership strategies.

The Archbishop of Mbeya, His Grace Gervas John Nyaisonga, officially opened the conference with a call to action. He urged the youth to strive for holiness, reminding them that spiritual devotion is not an unrealistic or radical claim reserved for a few. Instead, he emphasised that holiness is a practical and attainable calling for every baptised person, even in the 21st century.
