In a celebration of the Nativity, 45 children from St. Kizito, Chigoneka Parish, visited the Luntha TV studios in Lilongwe on Monday, 22nd December 2025, for Christmas Carols and shared the joy of the season with a national audience.
The delegation was warmly received by the Director of Luntha TV, Fr. David Niwagaba, who opened the session with a prayer. The visit was organised and led by a dedicated team of coordinators and mentors:
Mrs Lilian Ghambi: Coordinator
Mrs Annualita Matope: CWA Chairlady
Teachers: Mayamiko Lipato, Hannah Matope, Lethiwe Wengawenga, and Mary Magdalene Kadammanja.
During the opening formalities, Mrs Ghambi offered welcoming remarks, and the mentors were introduced to the Luntha TV.

The highlight of the carolling session was the exceptional performance by Mikaiah Chimodzi, a 3-year-old. Mikaiah was recognised as the “Best Student of the Year” for her remarkable intelligence and ability to lead the group in singing every song by heart. In appreciation of her talent and confidence, Fr. David presented her with a special gift on behalf of the station.
Following the musical performance, the children took the opportunity to introduce themselves on camera and send heartfelt Christmas wishes to their parents and guardians.
In the spirit of the season, the children presented Fr. David and the entire Luntha TV staff with Christmas gifts, thanking them for their vital work in Catholic media.
Fr. David expressed his gratitude to Fr. Martin Mulholland (Parish Priest), the Church Council, and the parents of St. Kizito for supporting this initiative. He commended the parish for nurturing the children’s faith and talents, noting that he looks forward to hosting them again next year. Merry Christmas.
