On Monday 21st October, representatives from Maula Deanery Catholic Women Association (CWA) took part in the unveiling of the late Fr Martin Kavisu’s tombstone in Nakuru, Kenya. Priests from the St Patrick’s Missionary Society and the Kavisu family were also present at the ceremony.

Maula Deanary CWA is visiting Kenya to learn from their colleagues in the country. The late Fr Martin, as CWA chaplain for Maula Deanary in the Archdiocese of Lilongwe initiated the trip’s idea to help CWA be self-sustainable, but it was never fulfilled. His Grace Archbishop George Desmond Tambala, however, responded favourably to a request from the CWA to undertake the trip.
Fr Martin died in a road accident on the outskirts of Lilongwe on 14th December 2023.

The ladies started their study tour in Nairobi and later proceeded to Nakuru. They are now in Eldoret whose parish priest is Fr Julius Dokowe, a St Patrick’s Missionary Society priest from Maria Mthandizi wa Akhristu parish in Lilongwe Archdiocese.
